Description
This lecture will focus on how the thoughts of Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr were developed by religion, philosophy, and economics. We will ask why Dr. King, who often referred to himself as just a “Baptist Preacher”, would become active in labor union rights. Why did Dr. King take such an active role in supporting labor unions? What were Dr. King’s views on Right to Work Laws? What would Dr. King say about Affirmative Action Laws? Why are Right to Work Laws and Affirmative Action Laws still debated today in politics and religion?
