LOCATION: WCU Intramural Fields
Named one of the top 20 events in the Southeast, Mountain Heritage Day is a festival not to be missed! Each year more than 15,000 visitors experience this one-of-a-kind event featuring three stages of live entertainment, 130+ food and craft vendors, tons of family-friendly activities, interactive kids area, along with performances and demonstrations celebrating the Southern Appalachian mountain culture. Admission and parking are free.
How to earn a DegreePlus point for Cultural Responsiveness and enter a drawing:
- Find the DegreePlus table. We will have a sign and "tear drop" flag
- Pick up a questionnaire about the festival.
- Explore the demonstrations of mountain heritage skills, musical/dance performances, and/or the Cherokee games to find the answers.
- Before you leave, drop it off at the DegreePlus table.
- You will be entered into a monthly drawing for your choice of a basecamp hammock or wireless air buds.
