Fun with Fabric Dye

Description

Come for the fun of playing with color. We will use permanent textile dyes and easy low water immersion techniques to add beautiful color & patterns to fabrics. Learn how to dye a range of colors. Any natural fiber can be dyed with this type of dye (cotton, linen, rayon, bamboo as well as silk) with colorfast results. There are no mistakes, only ‘happy accidents’. Instructor Rena Magolnick provides the dyes and auxiliary chemicals needed, along with a list of resources for further experimentation. A list of materials for students to bring to class will be provided with paid registration. There will be a lunch break. Saturday, August 9, 10am-4pm $55 Register by Friday, August 1, 2025
