Description
In this course, students will focus on forging a shield boss (raised center) and assembly/construction methods of creating a Viking round shield. Students will have a few different options on how their shield is assembled and finished. Riveting and some leather work will be discussed as well. Students will be able to choose between different sizes, ranging from 26" to 34" in diameter. No prior experience required.
Students must wear closed toe shoes (preferably leather), long pants, and cotton clothing, and should bring a lunch.
Space is limited to 6 students only, with a minimum requirement of 4.
