Mountain Sports Festival, Rock Climbing 101
Choose Saturday May 23rd OR Sunday May 24th

Trip will meet and leave from the Mountain Sports Festival at Carrier Park in Asheville
Join Western Carolina University's, Base Camp Cullowhee for a half day of rock climbing. AMGA certified Single Pitch Instructors will guide and instruct you through an introductory clinic into the art of rock climbing at Chimney Rock State Park, Rumbling Bald. Novice to intermediate climbers welcome
Topics to include - hazards, terminology, equipment, knots, belaying, climbing technique, and much more. This family friendly clinic will be sure to keep you engaged and push you outside your comfort zone.
Registration Requirements:
Must be 14 years old to register. Anyone under 18 will need to have a parent or guardian signature on a liability release form that will be emailed to you.
Price: $30 per person
Includes: transportation from Carrier park, instruction and rock climbing equipment including helmet, harness and climbing shoes.
