Description
Dana Wildsmith returns to City Lights Bookstore on Saturday, March 25th at 3 p.m. to present her novel, Jumping. Her novel portrays with great skill and finesse the collision of the two worlds of a Georgia school teacher and a small charming Mexican boy. Wildsmith “captures the experiences of what happens when "illegals" try to cross into the United States, "jumping" the border. Cesar, the main character, is especially powerfully portrayed with his humor, intelligence, and desire to provide a better life for his family,” said Jim Minick, author of Fire is Your Water.
National Farmworker Awareness Week is March 24th-31st so to recognize the week and to support Vecinos Farmworker Health Program Dana has requested that a portion of each book sale be donated to that organization. To reserve copies of Jumping please call City Lights Bookstore at 828-586-9499.
