Description
St. John’s Episcopal Church continues its Shelter from the Storm community speaker series with Dr. Trey Adcock, Executive Director of the Center for Native Health.
The speaker series explores the barriers that prevent people from accessing stable housing and invites the community to learn more about the experiences, systems, and circumstances that shape housing access. Dr. Adcock will bring his perspective and experience working to build thriving Indigenous communities through “the preservation and respectful application of Native knowledge.”
This conversation is part of St. John’s broader Shelter from the Storm grant work, which seeks to better understand barriers to housing and explore ways our community can respond with greater awareness, compassion, and support.
The event will take place Sunday, September 27, from 9:30–10:30 a.m. at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 18 Jackson St., Sylva. All are welcome.
