The Small Business Center of Southwestern Community College will offer a free seminar entitled, “SBA
Business Planning and Financing Programs for Your Small Business” on Wednesday May 22nd
from
10:00am – 12:00pm on the SCC Jackson Campus in the Burrell Building Room 102C.
Find out the basic elements of a business plan – what it contains and why it is important for your startup
or existing business. Learn about the many SBA Web-based and in-person resources to help you start
or expand a small business. Find out what it takes to produce a bankable loan proposal. Learn about
the Five Cs of Credit, and how a lender views these elements of a business credit application. Discover
the importance of business plans and financials and how they fit into a lender’s credit decision-making
process. Find out what financial assistance is available through the U.S. Small Business Administration
