DESCRIPTION:The Basics of Bookkeeping - May 30th\n\n5:30-8:30\n\nThe Small Business Center of Southwestern Community College will offer a free seminar entitled\, "The\n\nBasics of Bookkeeping" on Thursday\, May 30th\n\n\, from 5:30pm   8:30pm on the SCC Jackson Campus in\n\nthe Founder's Hall Room 117.\n\nKeeping good financial records is a critical step in managing a successful enterprise. This module\n\naddresses the financial records needed for good business management. Participants develop systems\n\nand practices for collecting necessary information for tax reporting and business decision-making.\n\nParticipants will:\n\n  Demonstrate the connection between cash flow projections and the bookkeeping system\n\ncreated for a business\,\n\n  Practice posting business transactions to monthly cash receipts and disbursements journals\n\n  Demonstrate how good bookkeeping practices give a clear snapshot of a business' health.\n\nThis class is not to be missed by any interested entrepreneurs.
